Deer Activity:  Had 3 doe at the scrape by the scrape stand at 5:15 as we came in.  I did a stalk in the tall grass and closed the distance from about 65 to inside 30yds.  When I stood to draw the third doe that I didn’t realize was there busted me so no shot!!!  Can I catch a break please???!!!

Deer Activity: Corrin bumped 3 doe as we came into our stands.  I think since we heard the rest of the beans being removed the other night that all the deer are now heading into the oaks much earlier to feed on the acorns. This is exactly where they were last year whenever I saw does on the property and I was wondering what had happened to them.  Apparently we had to wait for all the crops to get taken off for the property to go back to the way I saw it at the end of last year.  On non-workdays we are going to have to get into stands much earlier!

Deer Activity: One doe by Corrin’s stand at first light.  No deer for Jeff and I had two doe who came running from behind my stand headed towards the ridge then angled back to my stand.  Actually had one run directly underneath me and the other pass at about 10yds.  Once I realized how close they were going to come I came to full draw and grunted with my mouth, but couldn’t get her to stop.

Deer Activity: 5 doe in front of Corrin but no shot offered.  The doe kept standing in a thicket and wouldn’t offer a shot.  Jenn had five doe’s come through the top of the ridge near her and while she was trying to move to get a shot one of them busted her.  I had a basket 8 and that little spike from the trail come in behind me at about 7:15.  The story of my life again lately.  NO SHOT!!!  I had a little hole I could’ve tried, but just not worth it.  Another day!!!  One good thing is they were completely downwind and never smelled me!!!

Deer Activity: 4 doe’s by Jeff’s stand moving along the ridge.  Two deer in front of me at about 7:30.  They moved through the thicket directly in front so no shot.  Corrin had one doe at her stand but offererd no shot either.
