I’m the younger of the two brothers you see featured in this site. I’m pushing 30 and I’ve been married for almost two years. We live in the mid-michigan area and both love to hunt, camp, fish, and anything outdoors.
I have been hunting and fishing all my life, but really got into bowhunting about 10 years ago after I shot my first deer ever. An eight point! I had a buddy who was already an accomplished bowhunter and got me out shooting and more confident. Jeff (my brother from the site) always had taken me hunting, but I never really took it serious until that year. I have to give credit to him for setting me up in the spot! Since then we hunt together whenever we get a chance. I don’t think we have missed an opening day together in about 10 years!
I normally hunt the mid-michigan area. Eaton, Calhoun, and Ingham counties being the main areas
that I hunt and fish. My main property is in Eaton county, but I do have a very nice piece of property in Calhoun county I can hunt if I so choose! We primarily fish Duck Lake in Calhoun County. I think that is probably the best fishing lake in the area we live in. We do venture around though and check different spots from time to time. You can also find us fishing the Grand River for Smallmouth and going up to the Pere Marquette at least a few times a year to flyfish for Salmon and Steelhead. The wife has been hunting for the past few years and took up bowhunting last year. She had her first crack last year but had a little bad luck. Her time is coming though!
I enjoy a ton of outdoor activites. Doesn’t matter if it’s riding Quads, shooting my .40 cal Taurus, or target shooting with the bow- being outside is the
best! My wife and I are expecting in October of this year (2008) and we couldn’t be more excited. We are looking forward to passing down our love of the outdoors to our first born. For now though, all we have is a White German Shepherd who is 1 1/2. He’s a blast and goes with us wherever he’s allowed!
I think that pretty much covers it! I hope all of you enjoy the site and don’t be afraid to drop as a line either in the comments section, or in the contact section. We would love to know what you think.
Cheers,
Arthur
