Huntin’ Time Expo/My Lack of Posts
It's absolutely no secret that I've been neglectful of this blog lately.
Some evidence:
I never posted a few of the deer that Justin shot.
I didn't post anything about Jeff, Barry, Erin, and Josh heading down to the ATA show in Columbus a little over a week ago.
And I've never posted anything about the fact that SimplyOutdoors TV will be airing on the Pursuit Channel starting in January 2...
End of Deer Season: Maybe I Stink
Last night I cleaned my muzzleloader. And though I usually love the feeling that comes with cleaning any firearm, last night's cleaning kind of depressed me a little, because it was a sure sign that another deer season had passed and that I had once again went through an entire season without putting any venison in the freezer.

Bittersweet Hunt: The Rest of the Story
In my previous post, I eluded to the fact that my miss last Sunday morning was only the beginning of a very memorable morning. Here is the "rest of the story".

Another Deer for Jeff
While I don't have much to celebrate when it comes to deer hunting, after tonight I can bask in at least one thing: that I told Jeff about Hornady SST's, and that, because of my wisdom, Jeff was able to put down this big doe without fear of his bullet coming apart.

Night fishing!
Well as I write this it’s 4:00am and I have to work today at 12:00pm so this one is going to be quick! Matt and I decided to hit our local Steelhead spot after dark again tonight. We got in the river around 11:30 and did pretty well, Matt had few on but nothing to the net. Me on there other hand had three on and landed two! We both caught suckers and I also caught a lamprey(nasty things I tell yeah) We seen 20 or so fish landed so I would have to say it was a great night on the river. Make sure you get a good look at the war wounds on the big male I caught..Crazy fighters for sure

Nice evening of fishing I’d say. They are a surly tempered lot aren’t they, good thing as thats what we play on when we catch them.
The only thing I’ve ever fished for at night was catfish, and I got bored doing that quickly so now Hubby leaves me at home when he goes on the night-time fishing trips!
Congratulations on landing two of the three steelhead you caught! I’ve never been fishing for them… I must be missing out
Night fishing, huh. That is interesting. Steelies are hard enough to catch during the day time let alone after dark. I am impressed!
