I mentioned in the post yesterday that my sister’s boyfriend, Justin, had shot himself another buck, and here is the proof. He shot him around 4pm on Monday. It was a nice cold overcast day, and apparently the deer were on the move.
He is a nice 8, and I’m sure Justin is more than happy with him. He wasn’t completely sure of his shot at first, so he gave him a couple hours before starting to track, but there was no reason to worry, the shot was perfect, and he didn’t make it very far from where Justin had last seen him.
This buck also had an arrow in him from another hunter. Whoever shot him, shot him in the back. It just missed the spine, but Justin said he didn’t appear hurt at all. It just goes to show how tough this whitetails are. It always amazes how they can recover and survive after suffering a serious wound such as that.
Another nice buck down in Eaton County! These last few weeks have definitely been the time to get out. They have certainly offered every hunter a pretty good chance of bagging a buck. If you can get out hunting this week, do it! Unless you have to work like me of course.
Congrats to Justin. Nice deer!

Congratulations to Justin… and hang in there Arthur, you won’t have to hunt every day of the rest of the season – you should get a Saturday or Sunday off sometime soon

My hunter just left yesterday for 10 days of hunting.

Congrats to the man – and that is absolutely crazy the deer could appear unhurt with an arrow resting near its spine! Tough ol ‘critters!
