My husband went out every night but Sunday and didn't get a shot at anything eather. He was not to impressed with the weather and thought a late doe hunt would be much better too.
I got to go out with him on Saturdy night and we got a set of twin fawns on film just for the fun of it, But that was all we got to see.

Sounds like your outlook on early doe season is a lot like mine. I don't think I've ever gone hunting without leaving at least one thing at home!

Well I was all set to go out Sunday evening for a doe hunt but just before I was going to leave my plans got changed and I didn't get to go. My wife kept applogizing to me for my hunt getting messed up. Honestly though it really didn't break my heart that bad. I told her don't worry about about it I will make up for it durning bow season. I also just wasn't that motivated for this hunt but come Oct. 1st I will be since bow hunting it is the deer hunting that I truely love.

My hunter has been saying that the past few years - the weather is just too warm. That is why he agreed to our fishing trip.

We are suppose to have a hot week here this week and cooler by the weekend. Hopefully you will have a better feeling by then.

Certainly, adjusting to something different can take a while. It would probably be more fun to have a late doe season when we associate time of year with activity - cooler weather. ;)

All in all you saw deer moving and know they aren't being shy.

The hunting never seems quite the same when it's hot out - I understand! Hopefully it cools off before regular season starts.
