You bet - there's no better teacher than mother nature. Sometimes she's kind and gentle, and other times she's harsh and almost cruel, but a person learns so much from her if they just would spend more time around her.

One of Lil Sugar's favorite places to be is "outside" and I hope it stays that way.

By the way... her camo sun hat came from Gymboree :)

This is a great post. I think you have a very positave look on your kids lives in what ever they choose. Good For You!

I have taken my kids camping and into the woods since birth. At 8 & 10 they have a very good understanding on how important it is to take care of our world. And through our hunting they understand life and death. They love to "wander" as they call it, all over my parents woods to see what they can find. Right now it's a lot of tracks and Turkey feathers.

I think that's a great plan Arthur. I can't wait to see pictures of you with your daughter on your back, going for a hike.

Maybe you can find her a camo sun hat to wear!
