I think it looks more like a woodchuck, especially since you mentioned a badger. Between me and the kids we have taken seven this year, and have seen them up close and personal here lately. The colors are right. That would be my guess from that angle. Yes, I increased the the exposures to three at a time on my cameras, because I felt I was always missing something. Still haven't fixed the flash issue and the daytime triggers seem to be foilage moving in the wind. Maybe the camera isn't picking up the thing that actually made it go off.
