Next Week
As many of you have figured out already, we will be on vacation next week. To say I can’t wait is definitely an understatement.
We will be heading up on Saturday evening to the Torch River. The Torch is located in the Northwest portion of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula (did you all get that?). It connects Elk and Skegemog lakes to Torch Lake. Torch Lake was just recently voted in the top 5 of the world’s most beautiful lakes by National Geographic. It is an amazing lake. The water is so clear that it looks like you are on the Caribbean. It’s gorgeous.
We will be staying in a cottage right on the river and will be surrounded by plenty of wildlife I’m sure. Jeff almost got attacked by a swan last year on the river so hopefully he watches his back this year. We are going to fish, boat, grill, eat, relax, fish, boat, grill, eat, and the cycle continues. I’m sure they’ll be some very competitive horse shoes as well as ladder ball going on too.
It is going to be an absolutely perfect week and I will enjoy every stinking minute of it. I will try and check the site, but I have absolutely no idea if I will have any type of internet connection while I’m there. Please keep the comments coming though and let all of my guest bloggers next week know you’re reading. Every post next week will be a guest post and I’m happy that all of the bloggers who are guest posting agreed to do so. You all are certainly in for a treat when you visit the site.

Wow, you’re going to be in my neck of the woods. Torch Lake is a nice area. If you do get a hankering for an Internet connection, you can always come to Traverse City. Most of the coffee bars have WiFi.
I thought I read earlier that you were going to the Torch Lake area, but it didn’t really register. I wish it had, we could have set up lunch or something.

So – is it too late to catch a plane to Michigan and stuff myself in someone’s luggage? This sounds like too much fun for me to miss out on!

Wow, very jealous…except about the swan thing. I know a guy who was trying to impress a date by taking her on a romantic canoe trip. Things were going well right up until he was attacked by a swan. Of course he ended up marrying the girl so has never lived the incident down.
Sounds like you all are going to have a blast! Have fun and be safe! I know you want get sick of fishing, boating, grilling, eating and relaxing…
I’m not joking when I say the swan almost got me! So much for the ‘no wake zone”…those things are mean! Talk to everyone when we get back!
