Arthur, I was 38 when I had my first child. I remember dreaming what it would be like to do all kinds of fun things with children of my own. At times I wondered if it was meant to be for my wife and I to have children. When it does happen it is even better than you could imagine. It sounds like you are going to be a great father.

Taking kids out fishing is so much fun, and so rewarding. They remind me of how much fun fishing is supposed to be when I start taking it too seriously :)

Sounds like a nice day and certainly good practice. I'm like your niece, I love casting and reeling in the fish, but I'm not so thrilled about touching the fish or the worms. Must be a girl thing.
