We are an hour from the hospital where our boys were born, so I feel certain that you can work out a plan to cover those 15 minutes from your stand! Maybe have her do an SOS on the car's horn as she goes by...LOL
And since October is starting to fill up, I suggest that you plan to have the next one during the summer months. Oh wait, won't that interfere with some of your fishing. I tell you, you just can't win sometimes.

Arthur, seeing that I don't have kids and that I'm not a hunter, I really don't have an opinion other then I'm sure you'll do what is best for your family when the time comes.

Hmm, I see some conflicts there! My fear is that we'll end up having a child in September (archery season for both deer and elk here in the West.) So far, we're good for everything - birthdays in late November and February (nothing happening around here during those times) anniversary in early August.

I wish you luck in your roulette as you call it!

At least we got it mostly right...
My husband's birthday is in March - it usually only conflicts with spoonbill fishing, My birthday is in June - just during regular old fishing season, our anniversary is in August - a lot of times we spend a weekend going to a big "hunting season is about to open and it is time to change out our merchandise so we'll have a big clearance sale to get rid of all the old stuff" sale at Cabelas (I don't know why they don't call it that...) But we did mess up with Lil Sugar - her birthday is September 2nd, that would be the day after opening day for Dove season - we cut it mighty close, archery season opens on the 15th and early goose season is always in September too.

My youngest niece's birthday is November 12th - always the weekend of opening day for our 10 day rifle season for deer - always an issue and a big family drama scene. I try to get my sister-in-law to just have the party the week before but she thinks we should all come in early and celebrate that weekend. All three of their kids love to go hunting with their daddy so I just keep hoping that when my niece is a little older (she's 5 now) she'll ask to have her party a different day.
