I didn't harvest a buck for a number of years. I went from getting a buck and a doe every year from the age of 12 through about 18, and then I hit a drought. Of course, this drought coincided with me going to college and the start of graduate school, but it was tough. For me, breaking the drought was a matter of getting back in the woods. I'm hoping to tag one this year too. I have 9 days of gun season to hunt, so the chances are pretty good. Just remember above all else, it can be fun just to get out and hunt.
