Outdoor Intentions-Our new series

As many of you know, and if you ever make your way around the outdoor blogging sites, you will see that many of the writers use series to post their ideas and thoughts. It is just an organized little way to share with your audience multiple thoughts on one topic over a period of time. It also can make the topics more fun and create a little buzz while the reader waits for the next topic in the series.
Right now there are many excellent series out there to take a look at. Darrell, over at AlphaTrilogy, has his Guest Writer Series. Bryan, over at DeerPhd, has quite a few excellent series, including my current favorite, the Why I Hunt Series. Kristine, over at the Hunt Smart, Think Safety blog, has the mother of all series. Of course I’m talking about the Write About the Good Series.
After reading all of these different series on a wide range of topics I decided that I couldn’t be left out. So I bring to you the Outdoor Intentions Series. This series will focus on a wide range of things that I would like to accomplish that relate to the outdoors. They may be places I would like to go, or pieces of equipment I would like to buy. The scope in this series will be broad, but I promise that it will be interesting. It will also serve as a reminder to me of the things I want to do. A series of goals if you will. It will also provide some background into some topics and places that maybe people haven’t had a chance to experience or research.
So within the next couple of days I plan on starting this series by covering something I have wanted to do for the last couple of years and just haven’t gotten around to yet. I plan on doing this in the near future and starting this series will be informative to the reader as well as provide me with some needed research on the topic. Keep checking back on the site for the kick off of the Outdoor Intentions series. I’m looking forward to it.

Write About the Good is more an Outdoor Bloggers Summit thing, but I’ll take the credit if someone needs to. The Hunt Smart, Think Safety Blog has the Safety Friday series, which I think is a good one too.
Can’t wait to see what you plan to write about. I think the Outdoor Intentions series sounds like a good idea. You also have a cool banner too. I need to put my designer to work. The WATG series and Safety Friday need banners.
Kristine,
Your safety Friday series is excellent as well. I know that WATG series was more of a community effort, but it was pushed heavily by you and that is a good thing.
